The EMI requirements are reviewed to see the maximum  levels of radiated and conducted emissions and conducted and radiated immunity/susceptibility test levels specified.

In addition the self compatibility analysis is performed. Based on this data the adequacy of the cable shielding effectiveness, cable layout, level of signal/ power line filtering, PCB and backplane layout , grounding  is assessed using  SPICE and EMC consulting proprietary  EMC crosstalk , radiated and conducted coupling  analysis software and equations contained in the book “Electromagnetic Compatibility : Methods, Analysis, Circuits and Measurements”.
